What move are you working on?Just working on unhooked waveriding
Best kite advice you ever receivedI was told that when surfing or kiting in waves your back hand should move as if you were driving an outboard motorboat. It really helped me out because at the time I was learning to ride switch and it made everything just click, and made everything so much easier.
What was your most embarrassing kiting moment? When I was learning to kite in Kailua I was riding a wakeboard with bindings (remember those days!) I got washed in the shorebreak and couldn't get out of the bindings for a short time and ended up getting a lot of sand in my shorts. During the 10 minute walk back to the park, a certain male appendage ended up getting really, really chafed by all the sand in my pants. It took a few days before I was able to walk upright without extreme pain.
What are you kiteboarding goals?I just want to get a pic riding the biggest wave ever ridden on a kite. I think I did it a couple years ago at yards, but the camera dude had just put his gear away. I wish I could somehow print out the picture I have in my memory. It was a fantastic moment.
What is your biggest regret? That I wasted so much time doing freestyle contests. I guess it was a necessary evil however...... it paid the bills at the time.
